BrunoÂ´s slight is completely animated. ThereÂ´s only one take, one real shot, no edit. I did really hard to get the handheld shot matchmoved to integrate the 3d-character, which then was composited by David Laubsch in Shake. With over 9 mio views worldwide so far and heavy discussions if BrunoÂ´s slight was real or not, "Bruno Kammerl Jumps" was a real viral succes for MicrosoftÂ´s Office package. After being only one week online the jump was shown in several tv-shows worldwide. Master of ideas Minh Duong in association with the masters of visual effects from ARRI Munich, this is what magic and "FAKE!!!!!" is all about.

The creation of the mascot for a German company named "Pilz" was suddenly canceled when the client became nervous because of copyrights and sent a still to Dreamworks. Of course Dreamworks noticed that the character-design was very close on their well known animated feature film Beemovie. What you can learn about the creation process of an animated character is to never ask for copyrights anyone. Because there is so far no law worldwide that prohibits specifically your interpretation of an humanized bee-character even if another company on the other end of the globe did the same before you. Yes, there are too many similarities, the blue eyes for a warm/cold-contrast to the orange, and the sport-shoes that make the character young and motivated, the one brown line in the middle of his ribcage etc. Bummer! But what IÂ´ve learned is, IÂ´m able to copy a Dreamworks-character-design in terms of modeling, rigging, creating 45 morphtagets for a face, an inverse kinematic system, shading and production ready lighting and rendering.

The Arri Sound Trademark is completely CG animated. The major 3d software was 3dsmax and rendered with Mental Ray in a resulotion of 2048x872 px. The final compositings were made in Shake. There were plenty of color gradings and render passes for each of the ten scenes. Beaty passes, specular- and even a velocity render element to finetune the motion blur of every moving object in a scene. A final grading passed through Discreetâ€™s Lustre system. The film itself represents â€˜ARRI Sound Way of Workâ€™ and took about four months to finish. In a comprehensive workout of previsualizations we passed at ARRI more than three different storyboards, five animatics concerning speed and retimings, plenty of moodboards and still photographies to define the final look. Marco Kreuzpaintner wanted a mystical effect for the beginning titles and was really touched when he saw the first time one of my layouts where a hand uncovers the maintitle. The rest with particle flow and the titles morphing into snow were given because the opening shot of the movie had snow in the front.

Januar 2010 ausgestrahlt.[1] Es ist gleichzeitig der Auftakt einer sechs Filme umfassenden Ken-Follett-Reihe im ZDF.
